No. Everything is served locally. Internet is only useful when you want to download updated archives — and you can do that from any computer and carry them over on the drive.
What devices can connect?+
Anything with Wi-Fi and a browser: iOS, Android, laptops, e-readers. No app or account — join the network and open acid.hotspot.
Can I load my own content?+
Yes. Plug in over USB-C and it mounts as a drive. Drop in any .zim archive, plus your own PDFs, video, audio and documents.
