The Raspberry Pi CM5 Copper Heatsink Heat Spreader is crafted from pure copper to efficiently dissipate heat in a low profile. Its superior conductivity and thermal mass helps maintain stable operating temperatures, making it ideal for compact devices.
The heatsink is made of 1.6mm copper and includes all hardware, thermal pads, and nylon spacers
As tested the following was determined:
- 5°C lower once installed in closed air enclosure. Significantly greater with open air.
- Prevents thermal throttling when workload is at or below 50% CPU utilization.
- Has a high thermal mass stabilizing temperatures.
This is ideally implemented into a thin device, product or project where increasing thermal contact area is needed to spread thermal energy to the body of an enclosure.
